The Capital of Argentina, Buenos Aires, was banned from trading with other foreign countries and soon Argentina became a smuggler's haunt. The British soon attacked Buenos Aires in 1806 to 1807 and then early independence in Argentina was a bit of a struggle for them. The military started the Dirty War because they wanted to restore order and put an end to there enemy's. In the end, 2,300 politcals died, 10,000 politcals arrested, and between 20,000 to 30,000 people dissapeared. On April 2, 1982, Argentina went to war with the British because they wanted to gain controll of Falkland island which belonged to the British. Later that year, Argentina's military collapses and the British win.
